University wide ticketing system - the preferred method

SciTech uses the campus standard ticketing system, Freshservice, via the Staff Service:

How to Navigate the Staff Service Centre

Once you get to the Staff Staff Service Centre you can then follow the following links:

  • "Access the Service Portal" then:
  • "Submit an IT General Inquiry"
  • in the "IST Services - Subject Area" choose "Other"
  • Then in either the "What do you need help with?" or "Description" mention the ticket is for SciTech.
Why is the ticketing system preferred?

By entering a ticket into the system you can access more just SciTech as a resource. If the ticket is better handled by IST or other teams, it is easy to pass along the ticket and details to that team. Also by making a ticket, the higher ups in the College that want ticket stats will be happier.

Email contact

There is an email address that will make a helpdesk ticket directly in SciTech's queue, by-passing the Staff Service Centre ticket triage (which can be slow). It is not for email communication, as all communication will still be through the Freshservice webpage. The email address is: image_alt
