SciTech

SciTech provides a variety of IT services to the Faculty of Science. It is the combination of two teams, research support (SRIT) and business application support (SAWAS) after the 2019/2020 budget cuts and layoffs.

Science Research support

SciTech aims to provide the IT services necessary for Science Research to contribute positively to the future of Science research on campus and allow University of Alberta Science researchers access to IT tools and resources that will allow them to remain competitive internationally. It does so in partnership with IST.

Business Application support

SciTech maintains business applications built by SAWAS, and some websites used in Science.
